The Kantek MAXVIEW LCD Monitor Magnifier is constructed of a high-quality Fresnel lens that enlarges the image on the screen. The Fresnel lens technology replaces the conventional large and heavy glass optical lens, providing a versatile thin light-weight magnifier option. The Fresnel lens is flat on one side and has ridges on the other, consisting of a series of concentric grooves which act as spatial refracting surfaces that bend the light rays to magnify the visual image. The lens is specifically designed for LCD monitors, constructed of an optical grade acrylic with a high groove density for a sharp enhanced magnified image enlarged up to double the size. The MAXVIEW Magnifier features an innovative, proprietary attachment mechanism to easily adjust the spatial distance between the LCD and the Fresnel lens. (U.S. Patent #7495846) Magnification levels are a function the spatial distance; the further the distance of the lens from the LCD, the larger the magnification. How to Select Correct Magnifier Size – To confirm that the filter you wish to purchase will fit properly on your screen, please find the correct Magnifier Model# on the chart below. If you know your monitor diagonal size and aspect ratio, select the Magnifier Model# that matches. If you are not sure of your monitor size please measure as follows: Measure Height and Width of the visual display area, do not include outside frame of monitor, only the actual screen area. Measure Diagonal Dimension of visual display area, do not include outside frame of monitor, only the actual screen area. Match the monitor size on the chart of monitor sizes that corresponds to your measurements. Confirm that all 3 dimensions (diagonal, width, height) match. Order the Magnifier Model that corresponds to your monitor size. MAG27WL measures 24-1/8” W x 13-3/4” H with a visual area of 23-1/2” W x 13-1/4” H
Manufactured of an optical grade acrylic Fresnel lens with a light tint for contrast enhancement for increased readability, increasing image by up to double in size , fully assembled, elegant, lightweight, and patented design; Designed for LCD monitors, NOT SUITABLE FOR LAPTOPS
Patented design features a lightweight alternative to conventional heavy glass optical lens and easy adjustability (US Patent #7495846), Screen magnification level is adjustable by moving the magnifier closer or farther from the display; the greater the distance, the larger the image will appear.
Before selecting the magnifier size, use measuring instructions as shown below in Manufacturers Information to ensure you choose appropriately. Visual area of the magnifier selected MUST be equal to or greater than the visual area of your monitor. Designed for general office use in a normal ambient light environment. Note: Any intense lighting in the perimeter of the work area will be reflected within the Fresnel grooves and cause a distracting visual.
MAXVIEW Filter IS NOT DESIGNED FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED. Magnification level is insufficient and the tinted lens may further restrict visibility. Please note: For proper functionality, please follow enclosed installation instructions. (Installation Manual available in Technical Specifications below)
